Thanks for your interest in my art!
I’m a self-taught, Canadian artist originally from Brant County, Ontario. My biggest inspirations are nature and the imagination; I love to capture these in surrealism and bold colors, primarily using acrylics. I don’t have an educational background in art, but have dedicated years to practice & building techniques - and I have to give kudos to the many artists I’ve learned from over the years.
As a neurodivergent mind, I always struggled feeling like the way I expressed myself, my ideas and my interests didn’t quite fit the mold in the world. I felt like I was constantly straddling worlds and didn’t quite fit into any neat category of people [but maybe that’s everyone]. I battled a multitude of mental health challenges as a result and art was one of the ways I found the confidence to own my place in the world. Art gave me a purpose and a way to channel that neurodivergence to show that what seems strange can also be captivating & beautiful.
Aside from art, I always found comfort in nature, animals, reading and music. When I’m not creating. you can still find me spending time outdoors with my dog or checking out live music.
A big part of my work is creating custom commissions; however, I also host art workshops for private and community events. My future project aspirations would be to work on larger scale murals and album artwork.
